Marriage of Mother Susan and John4th July 2008
On Thursday 26th June Mother Susan and John were married in the Parish Church of St John the Baptist. John
looked stunning and Susan wasn't bad either. This was another enjoyable and extremely happy day for the parish
and because it really was Susan that looked stunning (sorry, John), here is another picture of her.

Licensing and Installation of the Revd Neil Paxton4th July 2008
On Wednesday 18th June in the Parish Church of All Saints, The Revd Neil Paxton was licensed as Team Vicar in the Team Ministry of the Parish of Southend by the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford and installed by the Area Dean of Southend. Here you can see Neil with the bishop.

It was a very enjoyable occasion and we look forward to having Neil as our Vicar for many years to come. |

New Team Vicar for All Saints14th April 2008The Rev. Neil Paxton is to be the new Team Vicar for All Saints Neil is single, 47 and currently Assistant Curate at St George’s Camberwell. He was born in Bedlington Northumberland and started work on leaving school with the National Coal Board as a labourer, though most of his pre-ordained life was spent with the employment service, mainly as an adviser to the long term unemployed. In the 1980’s when serving on the Blyth Valley Council he was the youngest Councillor in Britain. He obtained a BSc & MA in the late 80s and 90s at Brunel University, essentially in Modern European History, was churchwarden at St. Paul's Roundshaw near Croydon for 9yrs, studied Theology Cert at Cuddesdon College Oxford 2002-4 and is interested in antique hunting and car boot sales. The Bishop of Chelmsford will be inducting Neil at 7.30pm on the 18th June at All Saints, so keep your diaries free! |
