Welcome to All Saints Church, Southend
Foreword of the Vicar
One reason for creating this website is to enable the Church of All Saints, Southend-on-Sea, to have some contact with those who feel sympathetic to the Christian faith, but for various reasons do not attend any place of worship.
For me the heart of Christianity is in Jesus' challenging command to love God and love our neighbour. It is only by making contact with our neighbours that we can begin to respond to that challenge.
I hope that this website will give you an appreciation of how people, who meet at All Saints Church in Southend-on-Sea, express their faith - not only through worship, but also through their lives.
I hope you enjoy our website and that you will come back and visit us regularly for up to date information on our events and services.
Rev'd. Neil Paxton, Vicar of All Saints, Southend-o-Sea
We are next to the roundabout at the end of Sutton Road opposite Porters, the official mayoral residence of Southend-on-Sea. This map shows where we are.
We are part of the Parish of Southend, which is in the Church of England Diocese of Chelmsford. The Parish of Southend has its own website, from which you can access the other websites of the remaining churches in the Parish.
Our main weekly Eucharist is at 10am Sunday morning. There is a morning Eucharist on Wednesdays at 9:30am and Night Prayer is said at 5.30pm.
There is an eucharist at noon on Saturdays so people can attend and then continue their shopping.
The Church has large print versions of prayer and hymn books and has a sound system with a loop for hearing aid users. There is also a ramp for easy access to the West Door.
